ABOUT GOOD TROUBLE INDIVISIBLE
Our Mission
Good Trouble Indivisible exists to defend human rights, uphold constitutional safeguards, and strengthen democratic institutions through peaceful, nonviolent civic engagement.
We believe people come first. Institutions matter because they protect human dignity, equal protection, and the rule of law. Our work centers on preserving those safeguards for all people.
Who We Are
Good Trouble Indivisible is a structured, community-based civic organization committed to sustained engagement. We organize public demonstrations, educational workshops, think tanks, vigils, and community actions designed to increase civic awareness and encourage lawful participation.
Our work is principled, disciplined, and rooted in calm public presence. We reject intimidation, chaos, and reactionary organizing. Instead, we operate through organized, accountable, and transparent civic action.

Increasing Civic Awareness
We focus on increasing civic awareness. Our marches, workshops, and chalk drops are designed to inform communities about current issues affecting human rights, constitutional safeguards, and democratic governance in Michigan and across the United States.
Chalk drops extend the life of our message beyond the moment of a march, reinforcing civic education in visible, accessible ways. We believe sustained awareness is the foundation of sustained participation.
Beyond Single Events
While we participate in national days of action, our work extends far beyond them. We are expanding toward consistent, multi-day civic engagement — creating structured opportunities for participation throughout the week.
We are not defined by one protest.
We are building lasting civic capacity designed to endure beyond any single administration or era.
How We Operate
Our actions are lawful, structured, and grounded in disciplined civic presence. We emphasize preparation, organization, de-escalation, and community accountability.
We are committed to peaceful engagement, thoughtful strategy, and responsible leadership development. Our goal is not noise — it is sustained impact.
Building What Comes Next
Good Trouble Indivisible is building more than events. We are developing tools, mentoring emerging leaders, and expanding participation infrastructure designed to support long-term civic engagement.
We actively share practical lessons and strategic guidance with allied groups across Michigan and nationally. Communities seeking to build sustainable, peaceful civic organizing are welcome to connect with us.
A Growing Movement
Since our founding, Good Trouble Indivisible has organized over 125 public civic events, including marches, workshops, think tanks, vigils, chalk drops, and themed public awareness actions.
Each event strengthens our network, expands public awareness, and reinforces our commitment to sustained civic participation.
